ENERGY THOUGHTS

Who am i?
About Me
Thanks for visiting my site. I'm an energy evangelist, welcoming opportunities to speak and discuss the new energy paradigm with public or industry groups around the benefits of renewable energy solutions including distributed generation, microgrids, biofuels, green hydrogen and responsible EV charging. On this site you will find information on latest developments in the energy spectrum as well as my thoughts around energy. Hopefully you find this information useful and thought provoking as well as inspirational to reach out in conversation.
So a bit about me...
In my 30-year career I have led multiple efforts in product development, automation, operational transformation, sustainability, lean, quality system development, and renewable energy across a variety of industries. During my career I have lead product development teams responsible for a designing a wide variety of commercially successful and technologically innovative products, one such team's development being awarded as one of R&D Magazines Top 100 Most Technologically Significant Products. I pride my teams on delivering winning solutions to accelerated schedules. Various team member disciplines have included engineering specialists in chemical, electrical, mechanical, automation, controls and injection molding as well as project managers, research scientists, data analysts, test engineers, financial, legal, supply chain, product management, quality and service components.
I hold degrees in electronics and chemistry as well as having additional studies in paper science, computer science and electrical engineering. I have been certified by ASQ as an ISO 9000 lead auditor and lead implementer. I have also served in the past as local chair for the American Chemical Society, as a member of the Executive Committee for the University of Wisconsin -Stevens Point Academy of Letters and Science, as a member of the Biopharma Sustainability Roundtable, and as a business consultant and management mentor.
So what's happening now?
Currently I'm Vice President of Innovation for EnTech Solutions, the energy division of FTI. In this role, I am responsible for identifying technologies, policies, and differentiated approaches to drive innovative product, process, and partner solutions for energy system delivery, monitoring and performance. My current focus is developing innovative energy generation and monitoring solutions for our clients with an eye toward visibility, management, energy reduction and sustainability of their facilities through awareness, design and control. Our goal is to make this technology modular, configurable, and scalable to deliver the right energy solutions more rapidly, but still provide the ability for the solution to grow and evolve as client needs change.
I'm open to conversations around energy, product development, technology and business operations. I look forward to hearing from you!
