The second revisit to some older posts, this one focuses on the importance of not getting too myopic around how well my group, division, department is doing versus contributing to the overall health of the company.
It’s not about a single product line, department or division are performing, but about how all in concert contribute to the company’s bottom line. How often do we get caught up in how my department or division is doing and lose sight of how our business unit contributes to the overall health of the company? Or how we can help other divisions or business units improve performance and increase overall company health?
